Part III - Japan Picture Summary

These pictures are from our mini weekend trip to Kyoto. I went there with Victoria, Terui, and another person we won't mention. The hostel we stayed at was pretty nice and the transportation system in Kyoto was a lot cheaper than Tokyo. It was also very convenient since the bus stops were usually right in front of the temples and shrines. First day we hit up the Kinkakuji and Ninnaji Temple, as well as the Nijo Castle.

The following day we hung around the Gion area of Kyoto. We wanted to find a place where we could try on kimono's but we weren't very successful. We stopped by the Toji Temple because we had heard that locals set up little stores there during the first Sunday of every month to sell some of their old and gently used clothing and other antiques. I should have bought a kimono or yukata there, but didn't really think about it at that time. The majority of our day was spent at the Kiyomizu Dera. And I don't know what happened to the rest of this post - but its been hanging out in the draft box forever.
