so.. today i had to go to my internship (field placement) to make up for the day i was sick and couldn't come in. i'm walking towards the train platform that i need to transfer too and someone taps my shoulder. i'm walking up the stairs so i thought i had dropped something. i pull of my earphones and turn around.. and a police badge is flashed in my face. hmmm.. so police dude motions me to the side of the stairs and starts speaking in japanese. the situation was kind of weird so i wasn't really listening and he keeps talking. finally i force myself to focus on what he's saying and i caught gaijin something and passporto.

so i'm like.. err.. ryugakusei or exchange student, and something along the lines of my passport and foreign identification card is at the dorm. i forgot it. i don't speak a lot of japanese. LOL. anyway he asks what school and i tell him, even show him my drivers license from the states. And that's probably when he decided to leave me along. I'm guessing he thought i was some sort of illegal resident.. probably based on the fact that I'm dark and definitely don't look japanese and probably also due to the fact that there are supposedly a lot of Filipino illegals in Japan.

I don't know whether to be offended or whatever but it was kind of surreal. Then he goes ohh take care and walks away. WTF was that?!?!? ...
